Overview

Garage Clearance services

Garages fill up slowly and empty all at once. We cover Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, High Peak, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire for garage clear-outs and tidy-ups. When a single garage, double garage, lock-up or outbuilding needs clearing, The Waste Removers remove boxes, bikes, old shelving, tools, furniture, appliances by arrangement and general non-hazardous clutter, following your keep and remove instructions. Tell us about narrow drives, garage courts, rear lanes, padlocks, keys and carrying distance before booking. Every completed clearance comes with an invoice and Digital Waste Transfer Note, and photo evidence is available for landlords, agents and absent customers.

Scenarios we handle

Garage clearance is often needed before a house sale, after a tenant move-out, when making room for a car, or when a lock-up has become full of old boxes and stored clutter. Photos should show the contents, access, any freestanding shelving and anything that looks restricted or unsafe before the quote is confirmed.

Single and double garages

Stored contents removed while agreed keep items stay separate.

Lock-ups

Padlocks, keys, garage courts and access details checked before booking.

Freestanding storage

Shelving, racking, workbenches and cabinets dismantled where safe.

Keep aside

Items you want to keep are labelled or left in the agreed place.

Bulky stored items

Old furniture, bikes, tools, scrap metal and boxed contents loaded.

Records

Invoice, Digital Waste Transfer Note and photos supplied where needed.

Scope

What we clear

We clear boxed clutter, bikes, tools, freestanding shelving, racking, workbenches, cabinets, timber offcuts, scrap metal, garden leftovers, old furniture and bulky household items stored in garages. Appliances and WEEE can be reviewed before booking. This is garage clearance, not garage demolition, structural removal, deep cleaning or pest treatment. Paint, oils, fuels, chemicals, gas bottles, car batteries, tyres and suspected hazardous items must be identified before quoting and are not taken as standard.

FAQs

Answers to common questions

Can you sort items to keep or dispose of?
Yes. We follow your keep/remove instructions, set aside agreed items and load the rest. Photos can be provided for records.
Do you remove paint, oil or chemicals?
No. Paint, oils, chemicals, fuels, solvents and unknown liquids are not taken as standard and must be raised before booking.
Will you take white goods and scrap metal?
Appliances, scrap metal and WEEE can be reviewed before booking. Fridges and freezers need to be described clearly because they require a specific disposal route.
Can you dismantle racking or benches?
Freestanding racking, shelving and benches can be dismantled where safe. Fixed structures, built-in services and garage structures are not part of standard garage clearance.
Will you sweep and tidy afterwards?
We leave the cleared area tidy after loading. Deep cleaning, pest treatment and repairs are separate from garage clearance.
Can you work if I'm not in?
Yes. We can work with agreed key or padlock access, follow a written brief and send photos, invoice and Digital Waste Transfer Note when finished.
Do you remove garage doors, roofs or structures?
No. This service clears garage contents, freestanding storage and suitable loose items. It is not garage demolition or structural removal.
What cannot be cleared from a garage?
Asbestos, chemicals, sharps, clinical waste, gas bottles, oils, fuels, liquid paint, unknown drums, pesticides, car batteries, tyres and contaminated waste are not taken as standard.
