Overview

Mattress Removal services

An old mattress is one of the hardest items to get rid of yourself: too floppy to carry alone, too big for the car and not something the wheelie bin can help with. We cover Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, High Peak, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire for mattress uplift and recycling routes. The Waste Removers remove mattresses, divans, bed bases and related bed items from homes, flats, student lets, HMOs, furnished rentals and managed buildings, carrying from upstairs bedrooms, shared entrances and tight landings where access is safe. Send photos of the mattress size, access route and any bed base or frame before booking. If a mattress is soiled, wet, stained or unhygienic, it must be wrapped before arrival. An invoice and Digital Waste Transfer Note follow every completed collection.

FAQs

Answers to common questions

What mattress sizes do you collect?
We collect cot, single, small double, double, king, super king, bunk and zip-link mattresses.
Do you take bed frames as well?
Bed bases, divans, headboards and suitable bed frames can be included when listed before booking.
Can you remove mattresses from upstairs safely?
Yes, where access is safe. Photos of stairs, landings, shared entrances or lifts help confirm the carry route.
Are mattresses recycled?
Mattresses are sent through suitable reuse, recovery or disposal routes where available. The exact route depends on condition and processor requirements.
How should I prepare a mattress?
Strip bedding, clear the route to the door and tell us about stairs or tight corners. If the mattress is soiled, wet, stained or unhygienic, it must be wrapped before arrival.
Can landlords or agents book mattress removal?
Yes. Mattress removal is commonly used for landlord resets, student lets, HMOs, furnished rentals and end-of-tenancy clear-outs.
Do you wrap or clean soiled mattresses?
No. The Waste Removers do not clean, sanitise, disinfect, bag or wrap mattresses. Any soiled or unhygienic mattress must be wrapped before arrival.
What cannot be taken with a mattress?
Hazardous waste, sharps, clinical waste, chemicals, heavily contaminated items and suspicious materials are not taken as standard.
