Overview

Shed Removal services

An old shed usually fails in stages: the felt first, then the panels, then the door. We cover Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, High Peak, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire for shed removal and dismantling. When it is time for it to go, The Waste Removers can empty, dismantle and remove timber, metal or plastic sheds where the structure is safe to work on, along with contents, loose panels, felt and suitable bagged waste. Send photos of the shed, roof, base, contents and access before booking, especially if there is glass, rot, sharp metal, chemicals or suspected asbestos. An invoice and Digital Waste Transfer Note follow every completed removal.

Scenarios we handle

Shed removal is often needed when a new shed is planned, a garden is being reset, a rented property needs tidying, or loose panels have become unsafe. Photos help confirm whether the shed can be dismantled, what contents are inside, what the base is made from and whether restricted items need to be raised before quoting.

Scope

What we clear

We remove timber and felt sheds, lightweight metal or plastic sheds, loose panels, old shelving, tools, bikes, planters, bagged non-hazardous contents and suitable loose timber. Heavy concrete bases, fixed foundations, unsafe structures, asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, oils, liquid paint, unknown containers, sharp items and hazardous materials are not taken as standard. This is shed removal, not full garden clearance, landscaping, tree work or demolition.

FAQs

Answers to common questions

Do you empty and dismantle the shed?
Yes, where the shed is suitable and safe to work on. We can empty contents, dismantle the shed and remove the agreed waste.
What happens to the base?
Tell us whether the base is timber, slab, concrete or loose material before quoting. Heavy bases, concrete and fixed foundations may be outside standard shed removal.
Can you remove asbestos roofing?
No. The Waste Removers do not remove asbestos. If asbestos is suspected, do not disturb it and raise it before booking because the job may be outside this service.
Do you disconnect power or lights?
No. Power, lighting and electrical connections must be isolated or removed by a suitable person before shed removal.
What photos should I send?
Send photos of the shed, roof, sides, contents, base, access route and anything that looks sharp, chemical, rotten, unstable or suspicious.
Do you need clear access?
Yes. Tell us about side gates, narrow paths, steps, shared entries, soft ground and long carries so the loading route can be planned.
Can greenhouse glass or chemicals be included?
Greenhouse glass, chemicals, asbestos concerns, sharp items and unknown containers must be raised before booking. They may need a different route and can be outside standard shed removal.
Is shed removal the same as garden clearance?
No. Shed removal is for the shed structure and agreed contents. Green waste, garden piles and wider outdoor clutter may be better handled as garden clearance.
